Great Customer service. Very good product, good coverage BUT the product information/instructions especially on the container is why I deducted a star. Is this product breathable ? Apparently it is but does not declare this anywhere. The instructions are only geared up for outside use only. We have a Limestone floor IN an old cottage, which now looks great but on testing as per instructions using two coats wet on wet caused a sticky floor. We found one coat was good enough for the floor without underfloor heating. Where it is heated there were some area's which needed a second coat, when treated, even when dry, it worked out fine. Overall very happy, maybe four and a half stars would be fairer.
Everybody with any type of stone paving really should use this product, expensive?, not when you see the result!!!

Bought the natural stone sealer, super quick delivery! The sealer gave a lovely finish to a black limestone hearth, really blackened it up and finished the look nicely. Great product and good company to deal with. Would purchase from them again.
Recently put down 60sq metres of Indian Mint Sandstone. Used the Colour-Enhanced finish. Brought up colours in some stones that were not as openly visible as when put down. Very happy with end result. As others have said, it's not cheap, but the economics of spending a lot of money on a patio and then using a cheap product does not make sense. I would recommend the first coat is put down using a brush. Second coat using a sprayer.
I have tried the sample and it does what is says. It makes the enhanced stone stand out from the pointing. I will be ordering a litre in the near future.

Used on and old exposed stone fireplace, various different stone types, slate, limestone and some others. Came up great, really enhanced the colour . Very happy with the product so far, will see how it is to live with with regards to dust and stains.
Ordered a sample before buying, was able to check the difference between this and the invisible dry option. This brought out the colour of the sandstone but without making it too "blingy". Easy order process and very prompt delivery, easily accessible telephone advice also helps.

I have just had a new natural Indian sandstone patio installed.I needed to find a product that would not only seal the stone against spills and grass stains etc but also enhance the look of the stone.After viewing the Smart-seal videos online i knew I'd found the perfect product.Fast delivery and easy to apply and makes the patio look great. Natural Stone Sealer with Colour Enhancing Effect
Protective impregnating sealer to enhance the colour of Natural Stone
Smartseal Indian Sandstone Sealer and Natural Stone Sealer is a high quality, clear, solvent free acrylic impregnating coating system. Application of the sealer will alter the chemical structure of the porous sandstone or natural stone providing a excellent water repellent and stain resistant surface.
The sealer, once applied, will give a damp or slightly wet look finish on natural stone and enhance the original colouring of the surface.
- 1 x 25 litre will treat up to 150 m²
- Resistant to algae, lichen and staining
- Will leave surface darker or 'damp' looking dependent on porosity of surface
- Average coverage 5 - 10 m² per litre first coat and 10 - 20 m² per litre second coat, dependent on porosity and finish of surface
- Application by roller or sprayer
- Touch dry 2 - 3 hours
- Fully waterproof in 24 hours
- Lifespan of up to 5 years can be expected
- Suitable for Sandstone** (see exceptions below), Limestone, Terracotta, Slate, Marble and Granite
- Can be used externally or internally
**Exceptions to Sandstone suitability:
Please note this product is not suitable for Kandla Grey (mid and light grey) sandstone
Technical
PREPARATION: Prior to application of sandstone sealer or natural stone sealer ensure surfaces to be sealed are clean, dry and free from contamination. If algae or stains are present pre-treat prior to cleaning with an appropriate cleaning product.
**If applied to a surface where a "sweep-in" pointing compound has been used within the last 6 months, the natural stone must be fully cleaned with Smartseal Residue Remover prior to sealant application.**
APPLICATION: A suitable pressure sprayer or roller is recommended taking care to avoid any pooling. Application on all substrates should be to full saturation and on vertical surfaces commence at the bottom and work upwards.
Remove any excess after approx 30 - 40 minutes.
- For best results, apply one coat to saturation, and once touch dry (normally around 45 min), apply a second coat "wet on wet" (which means before the 1st coat has totally dried)
- Do not apply in damp conditions
- Application temperature range: 15° to 23°C
- Shake container well before use.
All equipment should be cleaned with water immediately after use.
SHELF LIFE: Store away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Protect from frost.
12 months (in original sealed container).
Arrived in time. Application was simple using a masonry brush for both coats. Left 1 stone untouched for comparison. Looks amazing. And much better than any previous that I have tried. Hopefully it will last longer too.
