Polyurethane Block Paving Sealer suitable Commercial use

An oil resistant and durable block paving sealer for areas of heavy use

Smartseal urethane block paving sealer is a low viscosity prepolymer solvent based sealer primarily formulated for commercial sealing applications of block paving. The urethane sealer will solidify the jointing sand and create a very long lasting, and oil resisant seal on the surface of concrete block paving.

Always apply two coat of sealer for best results - Apply at a ratio of approx 2sq metres per litre on the 1st coat and 3.5sq metres per litre on the 2nd coat. Ensure the second coat is applied within 4 hours to ensure the 2 coats of sealer 'key' together.

Technical

Our Polyurethane block paving sealer is an oil resisant and very durable sealer for use on larger areas of block paving, normally on commercial properties. It can only be used on precast concrete block pavers.

Urethane block paving sealer must not be used on any other form of paver, brick, paving slab, natural stone or block pavers finished with a top course of natural aggregate.

Urethane sealer should be applied when the block paving and jointing sand is clean and dry
Apply only if no rain forecast for at least 8 hours.
Air temperatures should be above 8 degrees centigrade and lower than 25 degrees.
Make sure no efflorescence (surface salts) are present
Ensure no jointing sand is visible on the surface or too high in joints of the blocks to avoid sealing it in.
For edges and borders use a paint brush or small roller.
Apply to main areas by roller or squeegee at ratios of 2sq metres per litre on the 1st coat and 3.5 sq metres per litre on 2nd coat
Apply second coat no later than 4 hours after 1st coat
Do not drive on for 24 hours and do not walk on for at least 3 hours after second coat
Wear a protective mask, goggles and gloves all all times
