Brilliant sealer, paving looks as new, only problem is that it's hard to get 4 dry days to dry out the blocks before applying the sealant
Excellent products very impressed
Product went on easily using a roller. I applied 2 coats - first one was slower due to the sand absorption, but second coat was very quick. One concern is that after some recent rain we have noticed clear/grey blotches on the blocks not covered by parked cars. Not sure why this has happened, but it doesn't look great.
Very good product and brings up the look of the drive very nicely. Next time I would use a roller, I used the sprayer and even though it was from Smartseal it was quite 'gloopy' coming out of the nozzle due to the viscosity of the sealer. Other than that no complaints and also very good service from Smartseal.

Just sealed my drive whilst the weather has given me the opportunity. Must say that I am very impressed with the result as the drive looks first class & is as good new. Would definitely recommend the product. I would like to mention that I was very impressed to receive the product within 24 hours of ordering considering I did not ask for a special delivery!! Brand new block paving to my drive, sadly the night the guys finished laying the paving we had a massive thunder and rain storm through the night resulting in efflorescence on most of the paving bricks, used Smartseal Efflorescence Cleaner with excellent results, I did have to re-apply one area but that was fine afterwards. Sealed the paving after a suitable period, I found using a watering can (disposable) and a roller the best option, the Smartseal video is a bit miss leading seeing the guy use a squeegee (I bought one to use) but found that I would have used twice as much sealer, however I did find the Marshall bricks used were quite open pored so they drank the sealer. Final comment, we are very pleased the finish looks fantastic.
Tip top product - swift delivery and text in advance too... Easy to apply and drive looks fab - a little bit shiny without being full wet look! Have had several comments about how great it looks! Highly recommend this product - I will be using again when the time comes :)

Very efficient, speedy delivery. Block paving driveway is now almost 15 years old and has just received its third application of Silk Sealant, applied with brush and roller. Recently used this on my 120mtrsq drive and it looks fantastic. Huge drive so used the sprayer with no problems and gave it two coats. Have been inspired to use the remainder on my rear patio! Spoke to the team there with a couple of questions and everyone was always helpful and friendly. Brilliant!

An excellent service - used the 25 litre silk block sealer - recommend you use the cleaner first - easy to use with the 12" roller and tray - very pleased with the results - covered approx. 45 sq mtrs with 2 coats with just a little left.

After Three weeks of poorly weather I managed to get out and use my Paving sealer in Silk. Initial impressions are very good, very easy to manipulate and dries to a hard silk finish. My driveway looks like new! 5
Used about 10 differnt block paving sealers over the years, first time using SMARTSEAL sealer, and the finish was 100% you could just tell it was a far better quality sealer than all these cheap ones, no just the sealer but a great help from the team at SMARTSEAL all the help & advice i needed wont be bothering with anyone eles.

Smartseal Blocking Paving , have been offered other Sealer which I been told is cheaper. But I would not risk it as Smartseal sealer is the best on the market in my opinion. And the back up service from the team at Smartseal is 1St Class.
I was forewarned about using the product when there is rain about and it was almost 2 months before I applied the first coat. The sprayer supplied was unfit for purpose and this didn't help. Didn't apply enough on the first coat as it is difficult to gauge how much is being used and was wary about not having enough for a second coat. Applied a second coat which made a big difference and eventually a thin third coat. Still had some whiteness which is supposedly caused by moisture but it was always bone dry when I used it. Just back from a 2 week holiday and the colour has lightened. Still looks good but the proof of the pudding will be next Spring after a harsh winter.
5 Star service for all aspects. Application, finish, prompt delivery, slick transaction.........also, a very kind understanding during our chat about the very wet Summer we've had this year.

This company provide good service and the products do a great job, its down to you to get the best results by doing the prep work thoroughly ,on older blocks you will need really 3 coats if they have never been sealed can work out expensive but the results are worth the extra coat or that extra drum you will then have a driveway as good as new and be the envy of your neighbours,dont just sweep sand back in it needs wacking and brushing several times the results will be worth the extra time you spend doing all that prep work .
Placed my order and forgot to order Paving Sealant..... was contacted by SmartSeal Agent to confirm my original order... who they asked me if I required the Paving Sealant, I realised I had forgot to order it!! This was no problem the Agent (Nigel) sorted it out and added it to me original order. All was delivered intact and undamaged within a few days and no extra delivery cost to N.Ireland!! Very impressed with this company's customer service, I would recommend and use again.

First class service - product arrived next day as arranged. Product gave a very good appearance to block paving. On the face of things looks very good but it's only been sealed for a couple of weeks and therefore its probably too early to give any definitive review at this time. Block Paving Sealer in Silk finish
Brick paving sealer in SILK that will give a 'satin' type finish to block paved surfaces

Recommended coverage
First coat: 2.0sq. metres per litre
Second coat: 3.5sq metres per litre

Technical
Application
Smartseal Block Paving sealer can be applied using a sprayer unit or roller, at a rate of 2.0m2 per litre (pavers) 1st coat & 3.5 m2 per litre 2nd coat. A two-coat spray application is required to fully cover the jointing sand. The sealer will be tack free within 2 hours at 20°C and foot traffic may be permitted after 4 hours. Vehicles should be kept off the sealed area for a minimum of 24 hours at 20°C. These times may be increased or reduced depending on the ambient temperature. During the curing cycle, protect from rain. Do not apply when the ground temperature is above 30°C or below 5°C. All equipment should be cleaned with Smartseal cleaner fluid after use.
Deicing salts should not be applied directly on Smartseal block paving or concrete sealers. Salt chemically reduces the temperature at which water freezes and will result in water ingress into the concrete. Subsequent freezing may result in the concrete ‘seal’ being broken by the expansion of water as it freezes and white ‘pitted’ areas may become visible.
NOT TO BE USED ON CLAY PAVERS
Preparation
New block paving or cobble stone paving should be swept clean, ensuring there is sufficient well-compacted sand in the joints. Existing paving should be pressure washed to remove all surface debris. If the area is contaminated with weeds & moss then it should be treated with Smartseal Fungicidal Wash. Oil and other stains should be removed using Smartseal Cleaner / Oil Remover. The treated area should then be left to dry and the joints re-sanded & compacted to the lower edge of the paver chamfers with clean kiln-dried sand. Moisture in the paver & sand will inhibit penetration of the sealer and produce whiteness.
Technical & Test Data
Smartseal Block Paving sealer has been tested by the TRL (Transport Research Laboratory) and certified that it meets the SRV (Skid Resistance Value) for all categories of paving for local authority pedestrian areas and when heavily trafficked is suitable for special applications where risks of skidding are high as laid down in the UK Highway Authorities Tender Specification. Copies available on request.
Specification Clause
“Newly laid block or flagstone paving shall be treated with Smartseal block paving sealer to protect and stabilise jointing sand and enhance surface colour and increase abrasion resistance. All materials should comply with ISO9002 for Quality Assurance. All work should be carried out in conjunction with the manufacturer’s current technical data sheet and instructions for use”.
Health & Safety
Flammable liquid. Do not smoke. Keep application area well ventilated. Wear respirator when applying. Store in a cool place. Flash point 40°C (Abel-Closed Cup). Refer to the Health & Safety Data Sheet for further information.
Used on my 30 year old drive and was very happy with the results. Used the stain and finished with a sealer. Only issue and it's a small one is that smaller sample quantities are very expensive. I had a black drive with 20 red bricks as edging and had to buy 5 litres for 30 blocks. Great product.
